She has also contributed two chapters to the authoritative book on ‘Donor Egg IVF’, published in 2008. She offers advice to the community on fertility matters in television and radio programs.
Female fertility health check-up
At Harley Street Fertility we go the extra mile to aim for a successful pregnancy and birth on the first cycle. It's all part of our investigatory approach to fertility treatment. Delivering some of the highest success rates in the country, our expert and caring team of specialists will recommend a number of tests that will guide you with a highly individualised treatment pathway that maximises your chances of conceiving and carrying to full term. Our ethos: one comprehensive treatment pathway is preferable to 2-3 failed cycles.
That why we offer two female fertility health checks. One suitable for general fertility health for women not wishing to conceive and potentially seeking to freeze their eggs.
The second and most popular Check up is more comprehensive than most clinics and ensures we leave no stone unturned as you start this potentially costly and emotional journey.

What's the process?
1. Initial virtual consultation

2. Anti-mullerian Hormone (AMH) & baseline scan
Suitable for all patients - egg preservation and general fertility health
In our state of the art clinic, we will carry out blood tests for Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) and your results will be shared in 3-5 days. Followed by a baseline scan (D2-5 pelvic scan) to assess your follicular count.

3. Comprehensive tests for 7 biomarkers
In addition to AMH levels, we believe in exploring a wider range of tests to optimise your chances of conception and birth. We will test for:
- FSH, LH, Oestratiol (E2) to investigate regulation of your cycle
- Prolactin and hormone function (TSH, FreeT4) too ensure successful implantation of the embryo.
- Vitamin D to assess egg quality.

4. Process the samples
Our in-house pathology lab will process the sample the very next day and share the results with your Consultant.

5. Review and follow-up consultation
Our fertility specialists will review the results and create a personalised treatment plan for your unique fertility needs. They will explain the results and talk through the options over a detailed follow-up virtual consultation. The specialist will advise you on your fertility status, as well as provide advice on any changes that may be required to your lifestyle to improve your health

Male fertility health check-up

What's the process?
1. Sperm sample test
Visit our clinic to provide a semen sample in a private environment. Couples can visit the clinic for their respective tests on the same day.
Various parameters will be examined in a semen analysis and this will be explained in detail with you at a follow-up consultation.

2. Review the results
The fertility specialist will review the results based on the number of sperm present within ejaculate, the number of sperm that are moving (mobility) among other factors to assess sperm health.
Create an individualised plan
The fertility specialist will create this individualised plan based on your results and unique needs. The treatment options and next steps will be discussed over a virtual consultation via Telephone, Skype or Zoom.
